TELECO Flatsat SKEW Easy Smart

Automatic SKEW satellite antenna

The FlatSat Skew Easy SMART is, in addition to the SKEW function where the LNB is automatically aimed, also equipped with the SMART function (patent pending) with which you can now even more easily watch your favorite satellite programs.

. All you have to do is press the ON-OFF button on the intelligent control panel and set up a program on the satellite receiver or satellite television

The antenna automatically rises and focuses on the satellite through which the set program is transmitted, whereby the LNB is automatically turned to the position in which the signal reception is optimal.

If you change channels, the SMART system immediately checks which satellite the program is being broadcast on and automatically directs the antenna to that satellite within a few seconds.

The FlatSat Skew Easy SMART is compatible with all satellite receivers and televisions with DiSEqC function (Tivùsat, TNT Sat, Fransat, SKY, Canal Digital, TV Vlaanderen, Telesat etc.) and in particular with all 2014 TELECO models.

With the new intelligent control panel (patent pending) you can only operate your antenna with 2 buttons:

  • With the ON-OFF button you can switch on the antenna and start the search function of the selected satellite or lower the antenna and switch it off.
  • The SAT button is used to select one of the 10 satellites that are in the memory (Astra 19, Hot Bird, Astra 23, Eutelsat 5W, Eutelsat 9, Eutelsat 16, Astra 28, Hispasat, Turksat, internet).
  • The panel is equipped with a graphic OLED display to show everything done by the antenna and with automatic shutdown after a few seconds at the end of each activity.
  • An anthracite-colored profile of the Berker line completes the control panel and can easily be replaced by other profiles in a different color that are simply available on the market.
  • Safety system whereby the antenna automatically collapses when the vehicle is started.

Position of satellites for television and radio broadcasts

All satellites are positioned in orbit at the equator at a distance of approximately 36,000 km from the Earth. Each satellite is in a fixed and precisely determined position of this orbit that is indicated in degrees relative to the Greenwich meridian.

Transmission power of the satellites (Footprints)

Since the satellites are powered exclusively by solar panels, the available power to transmit to the earth is very small and they are therefore forced to concentrate all their transmitting energy on certain parts of the earth, which are very limited (Footprints), to make sure to ensure that the reception of the transmitted signals is possible with not too large satellite dishes. The transmitting effect of the signals is similar to that of the lamps of a car: in the middle of the light beam, the light is strongest and gradually decreases towards the edges This attenuation effect of the signal in the direction of the EASTERN or WESTERN peripheral areas can be compensated by turning the LNB counterclockwise (LEFT SUMM) or clockwise (RIGHT SUMMARY) to compensate for the signal loss through the ROUND of the earth

SKEW

Automatic satellite aiming system with highly accurate adjustment of the optimum reception angle of the LNB by means of a built-in GPS module.

With this option it is possible to improve the reception of satellite signals in the areas bordering on the SOUTH EAST and SOUTH WEST of the footprints (eg Turkey-Morocco). The reception is optimal in the middle of the footprints if the LNB is placed horizontally. However, when moving to the southeastern or southwestern ends of the footprints, stand on the roof of the motorhome and turn the LNB counterclockwise (LEFT) or clockwise (RIGHT) for optimum signal reception. The GPSSKEW option detects your position AUTOMATICALLY using the GPS and ensures that the LNB is turned AUTOMATICALLY to the position in which the signal reception is MAXIMUM.
